Many communities on Kazokus span multiple countries and languages. We built the Universal Translator so every member can participate in their preferred language, regardless of what language the content was written in.
How It Works
Set your preferred language in your profile settings. When you view an article, announcement, or event description written in a different language, it's automatically translated for you. No buttons to click, no extra steps.
Two Translation Engines
Community admins choose which translation engine to use:
- Claude AI — higher quality translations that understand context and nuance. Best for important content like articles and announcements.
- Google Translate — fast and reliable for high-volume translation needs.
Cached for Speed
Translations are cached so you only wait once. Repeat views load instantly. And you can always toggle "Show Original" to see the source content.
What Gets Translated
In this first release: articles, announcements, and event descriptions. Thread translations, course content, and chat messages are coming in future updates.
